Description: This project was for a family who have lived in this house for 25 years. They host international students and wanted a bit more space for themselves. We were able to design a space for them that allowed separation and privacy while increasing their view of the mountains. We strategically placed windows to open up new views and designed a timberframe deck where they can relax in their hit tub. The downstairs was previously a garage they lost in a fire. Our design included a garage/shop but instead of being a separate building we attached it to the main house so the whole space is one cohesive building.
